This book could go on and on I loved it that's all I can say you have to read it to know what I mean... It has a lot of suspence in it.. it keeps you wanting more.
Borrowed Heart was a great read. The beginning began like any other teen romance book, but do not let that fool you. The relationship become much more complicated and this will keep you on the edge of your seat. I'm excited for the second book to see what happens to these star crossed lovers.
This book was entertaining and captivating. The characters are relatable and the fun twists kept me turning the pages. A quick read that incorporates romance, humor and suspence. I can not wait to read the second book in the series. It is hard to believe that this is the author's first book!
A fresh and fantastically written novel. The author artfully manages to capture the sense of a true and classic love story, but with a fresh yet tender twist. It's exciting and bold and will have you turning pages! Amazing character development...you will be rooting for Evie & Quinn without a doubt! Can not wait for Book Two!!
I am almost finished with this book, and I have only been reading it for 4 days! The story, plot, twists and characters draw fantastically draw you into this book to the point where you just can't stand not knowing what happens next. Needless to say I am enjoying this and I cannot wait to read Peace of Mind Book 2!
I was not sure what to expect after reading the description, but this is a wonderful summer read! The story is escapism in the best possible sense -- the good vs. bad paranormal mythology is well-developed, and the love story is classic and captivating, rather than overly romantic or cheesy. Although the plot focuses on the relationship between Evie and Quinn, it is the fantasy/supernatural details that make the book so fascinating. This book does not have vampires, but readers who enjoy a good vampire series (Stephenie Meyer, Chloe Neill, etc.) will enjoy this!
I also love the author's references to locations in and around Chicago (she is clearly familiar with the city), especially the statue on top of the Board of Trade building.
